What has happened to you in your past has not been for nothing.
Every event both meaningful or not has brought you to where you are now and
right now is always the best place to be. From this point, you have total
control over the direction you choose and you can take all of the wisdom you
have gained from your knowledge and experiences along the way, whether
positive or negative and apply them to what you wish to do next. It is up
to you to decide what it is you want to do and where it is you want to go.
You should never worry about your regrets, because they also help you
develop your ability to put everything you have learned to a purposeful and
more positive use. No matter who you are or where you come from, you have
the opportunity at this moment in time to direct your life's purpose so that
it will take you where you wish to go.

Don't worry about what could have been or why it didn't work out
because you can't turn back the clock and you will end up driving yourself
crazy. What's done is done and the best thing for you to do is to focus on
what you want to happen and enthusiastically take charge. You are
surrounded by abundant possibilities in this universe that God has created
and he will give you the strength to put all of your past experiences to
work so that you will do what it is that he created you to do and be what it
is that he created you to be if you trust in him. As a result, you will
have a life with fulfillment and meaning.

What ever has happened in the past has already been because it
has been good to you. It has brought you where you are right now, so be
thankful for the many blessings it has given to you. So take those
blessings and always be a blessing to others.

You live in the greatest nation in the world despite what is
going on in the news about our economy. You have the power to do something
about it. You can change your present situation and improve on it. You can
go into business for yourself part-time while you work and develop
additional income so that you can take care of you and your family should
you happen to be laid off from your present job. Even if you are unemployed
and have a limited income, you can still do this because it doesn't take as
much time and money as you might think it does for you to get started. So
consider going into business for yourself. It could change your life like
it has for thousands of others.

The Big Four Critical Mistakes You Are Making While Trying To Generate Leads For Your MLM Business. By Mike and Evelyn Evers

We all have made them. They are the “Big Four” Critical Mistakes most new network marketers have made when starting their MLM Businesses for the first time. Your upline may tell you to subscribe to 1 or more of these strategies depending on which MLM you are involved in. This article isn’t focused on one specific company or upline organization. Instead it’s emphasis is on what many people like you and I have experienced at one time or another when starting our MLM businesses for the first time and it offers answers on what to do about it.

Talk to Anyone Vertical and Breathing.

This is your first critical mistake. Think about what you are being told to do here for a second. How often do you shut the door on or hang up on peddlers trying to shove their product or service down your throat. In many places it is illegal to solicit strangers and shove flyers and leaflets in people’s mailboxes or under people’s doors. You can also get into trouble if you are telemarketing to total strangers who have placed themselves on the National Do Not Call Registry. So you want to be careful about that because you can possibly face criminal charges and be subjected to fines or other penalties.

Why do you think this has happened? It is because we do not live in the age of the “tele-marketer and the Door to Door Salesman” anymore. People are just sick and tired of someone ringing their phone or knocking on their door at dinner time, making their sales pitch and trying to get them to buy their product or service. Many of them have just got off work, they are tired and just want to relax before having to do it all over again the next day. People do not care about what business you are involved in or even what product(s) you’re selling when they are trying to eat and rest up.

My brother worked for a vacuum cleaner company for a short time. He was put in a van, given the product, dropped off in some neighborhood full of unsuspecting people, told to go door to door during people’s dinner times and offer to do a free product demo… Once he sold a product, they would come back with the van and pick him up. Then they would repeat the process until they met all of their sales goals for the day; hence the reason why he only lasted for a short period of time.

When I get junk mail, it goes straight to the paper shredder. So why should approaching people face to face at the mall or a restaurant, pitching them your business opportunity be any different? It just takes up way too much time. Many of these people usually don’t end up joining your business anyway. They just tell you they are interested mostly to be nice because they are afraid to say “no” to you in the first place.

Worse than that, we’re told to pitch the business opportunity to our friends and family. That is crazy… What possesses these people who pass themselves off as business mentors to tell people they should go out and harass their friends and relatives? You will just be guaranteed an honorary life-time membership to the NFL club (stands for No Friends or Family Left). I am not saying that some people cannot build their MLM organizations this way but these people are usually a very rare breed, born under a specific set of circumstances and already possess higher skill levels than the average entrepreneur out there just getting started for the first time. Understand that what works for one person does not always work for everyone else because everyone’s skills are different.

Generate Networking Leads By Handing Out Fliers and Business Cards.

While this second critical mistake may seem to take away from the need to contact people and speak with them face to face, this is often a pointless and fruitless way of getting your message out to the right people and it yields little if any results. Of course you can spend an hour of your time handing out fliers and business cards to everyone you come in contact with but they’ll probably end up in the trashcan along with your money. I have read somewhere that as little as 4 in 1,000 fliers actually get responded too and out of that number less than 1 out of those 4 will even become a distributor or stay with you for very long.

Simply taking your promotional messages about your business opportunity on line to places like Twitter, Facebook or any other site will not get your message out to the right people either. On the internet especially, many folks are overwhelmed with links to both people’s legitimate and illegitimate business opportunities and it’s difficult for them to distinguish between who’s products and services are the real thing and which ones are fake. There are a growing number of scam artists out there and people are even less likely these days just to click on a total stranger’s link. There are much better techniques that you can apply that will get you the desired results.

Buying Your MLM Leads.

Who hasn’t made this Third critical mistake before? You tried out the free methods and have gotten nowhere after all of your friends and family stopped calling you right? For those of you who didn’t quit and stuck with it probably moved on to this next step, which was to purchase your MLM leads. You were probably told that these leads were already qualified and looking for a home based business opportunity and so you found the goose that laid the golden egg or so you thought.

There are three things wrong with this. First, you have no idea who still may be looking for a home based business opportunity and their data may simply be out of date. What’s worse the person may be dead, so imagine the embarrassment you would have encountered when calling their survived spouse or close relative in that scenario.

Second, do you think that these companies are just selling these MLM leads to you only? Of course not, they’d be broke if they did that. These people have already received many calls from other people just like you. I can probably say with almost 100% certainty these supposed MLM leads are probably regretting having put their name down on some list for a second income opportunity to begin with. Caution, you may set yourself up for trouble with your ISP if you get caught spamming.

Third, even if you happened to peak the interest out of these supposedly qualified MLM leads, chances are you may not even know what to do with them once you’ve got their attention. Most of you will probably be so desperate to make money right away that you will begin to pitch them with your business opportunity without having properly qualified them first in order to find out what their needs are. Paying for MLM leads can be a good strategy for an experienced marketer but if you don’t already possess the skills needed to close these people properly and are not prepared to wait a long time, you might as well throw your money down the toilet because that’s where it will end up if you don’t know what you are doing. Save your money and start generating leads for free.

Pitching Your MLM Leads

I want to congratulate you for reading this far because this here is the 4^th critical mistake many network marketers before you have made. It is the reason why strategies 1 2 and 3 have most likely failed you miserably. The theme throughout this article has been on how just pitching your MLM leads with your business opportunity, product or service will not get you anywhere with your prospects. Network Marketing is a relationship business. That’s why the word “network” is in there. There’s an old cliché which says, that “people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.”

Pitching your products and business opportunity to your friends, family or even total strangers without first getting to know their needs will have them alienating you or hiding their wallets faster than you can say “can I put you on Ditto/auto-ship?” Most people never thought becoming a distributor for some MLM, selling make-up or vitamins as a means of getting rich would be a business venture they would enjoy getting involved in.

Most people who have never been involved in an MLM for the first time may not even understand the concept of a Multi-Level let alone how the compensation plan works. There are pros and cons to an MLM verses a traditional brick and mortar business. Both can be used to help you get wealthy but only one if worked properly can allow you to build a sustainable and unlimited income in a shorter period of time.

Here’s the good news.

Believe it or not, there are some simple things you can and must do in order to develop relationships with people in building up their trust in you when prospecting for MLM leads. These things are so simple and non-threatening that anyone can do them, even blind people. Not only this, but you can even help those who say “no” to your business opportunity.

Social Security and Medicare May Not Be there For You

WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN TO MY RETIREMENT?

We all have heard in the news that the nation's Social Security
trust fund is expected to be exhausted by the year 2040. Then we heard it
would be by the year 2037. This means that Social Security will have to pay
out more benefits than they will have revenue coming in. . A report by CNN
Money says that social Security will have sufficient resources to pay out
benefits at 100% until the year 2036

ees_report/index.htm to read full article). However the article says that
this will happen at least a year earlier than previously forecasted for
2037. So what this means is that if you plan to retire in 2036, your social
Security benefits may be dramatically reduced by 2037.

What Needs To Be Done?

The nation's economic recovery has been much slower than what
experts thought and our seniors are living a lot longer mostly due to
advancements in modern medicine. After 2036, the program will only be able
to pay up to 77% of promised benefits.

The article goes on to say that last year was the first time the
program took in less payroll tax revenue than it had benefits to pay out.
This means there are more people drawing Social Security benefits than there
are tax payers paying in to the system.

Presently, the program is making up the difference from the
interest paid to the program from the Social Security trust fund but this is
only a bandade solution that will not last.

The trust fund they're talking about only represents a $2.6
trillion in surplus revenue that has been paid into the program since 1983
but that surplus revenue has been tapped in to by the Government here and
there on other budgetary items over the years. In exchange, the Government
decided to issue non-marketable U.S. bonds to the trust fund. They are
basically "IOUs" that the Government has no way to pay back once the
Treasury decides to start redeeming them. They will either have to raise
taxes, cut spending or borrow more money. With the country already
operating in deficit, borrowing more money may not be in its best financial
interest.

What about Social Security Disability?

The financial outlook for Social Security Disability Benefits
also included in the Social Security trust fund is much worse than it is for
people retiring but most people wouldn't know it. The money set aside in
the trust fund to pay disability benefits to people who cannot work because
of a medical condition is projected to run out by the year 2018.

Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner strongly encouraged policy
makers to take steps that will help get the program back on track. He said
we should not wait for the Social Security trust fund to run out of money
before making the necessary adjustments that will protect our future and
present retirees. He further said that the longer we wait, the larger the
adjustments will have to be made in order to keep both programs funded.

What Can They Do?

One thing the Government can do is to consider how much of the
12.4% payroll tax rate on the first $106,800.00 of a worker's wages will
need to go up immediately to sustain the program for the next 75 years. The
trustees say that the current 12.4% tax rate will need to be raised to
14.62% in order to bring in the additional $6.5 trillion in current dollars
in revenue needed to pay all scheduled benefits through 2085.

What about Medicare?

Medicare part A, Medicare's hospital insurance program should be
able to pay out full benefits until 2024. The Trustees project this to be
five years earlier than they predicted this time last year. However, 2024,
is 8 years later than had been projected since Congress passed the new
health Care Reform Law, though the Program's Chief Actuary Richard Foster
says he is very skeptical about the report's assumptions that the new law
will be carried out exactly as written.

Some of his reasons for his skepticism are that the Trustee's
report assumes that scheduled reductions in Medicare doctor's fees are to
take place even though Congress will often override those deductions. This
means that the hospital trust fund will likely run out in 2025 and the
program will be only able to pay about 90% of those costs. By 2045 it will
drop down to 75% before gradually climbing back up. Which means to those of
you that are retiring or drawing disability that if something isn't done to
correct this, the difference in cost will be coming out of your pocket until
it climbs back up to 100% again. To fix this problem, the 1.45% Medicare
Payroll tax rate on all of the worker's wages will need to increase by just
less than 1 percentage point starting today.

In addition to Part A, the main Medicare benefit, there are
three supplementary programs. There is Part B for Doctor's bills, Part C
for supplementary health insurance and Part D for proscription drug
coverage. They are funded by general tax revenue and senior patient paid
premiums. Costs for these programs are projected to rise very rapidly,
which will add more financial pressure to our Federal budget and Senior
citizens.

What Can I Do To Protect Myself?

What you need is an additional revenue stream that you can
develop into on-going income that will help offset some if not all of your
retirement and health care costs when you are ready to retire. The way you
achieve this is through small business ownership. You should look for a
proven business system that has a successful track record, excellent free
support and coaching, low start-up cost, and one that can be built in your
spare time, all on line.
